Why Art Basel Paris is a must-attend event for collectors
Art Basel Paris brings together a concentrated selection of established international galleries and emerging voices in one of the world’s most important art capitals. Its 2026 programme includes galleries from Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, alongside more than 60 exhibitors operating spaces in France.
For collectors, this creates an opportunity to discover new artists, meet galleries, and explore works across different markets without having to travel between multiple international fairs.
The fair’s three sectors also offer different perspectives. Galeries presents established gallery programmes, Emergence focuses on younger galleries and artists, while Premise offers more specific curatorial approaches.

Experience Art Basel Paris at the Grand Palais
The Grand Palais provides a distinctive setting for Art Basel Paris, combining its historic architecture with a large-scale contemporary art presentation.
With hundreds of exhibitors and appointments potentially taking place across the fair, planning ahead can make the experience more efficient. Collectors may wish to identify priority galleries, coordinate meetings, and allow sufficient time to explore the different sectors.
For international visitors, private chauffeur services can also make it easier to move between the Grand Palais, hotels, galleries, restaurants, and other appointments across Paris.
The wider Paris experience beyond the fair
An Art Basel Paris VIP experience does not have to end when the fair closes. The event takes place during Paris Art Week, when galleries, museums, cultural institutions, and luxury brands create a wider programme across the city.
Visitors can combine their time at the Grand Palais with gallery visits in Saint-Germain-des-Prés and the Marais, museum exhibitions, private events, fine dining, and other cultural experiences.
This makes Art Basel Paris particularly suited to a longer luxury stay, allowing collectors to experience both the fair and the wider creative atmosphere of Paris.
