How to Attend The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping Premiere in NYC

The Hunger Games Sunrise on the Reaping Premiere is bringing Panem to New York City on 16 November 2026, four days before the film reaches cinemas. The official U.S. premiere is scheduled for 7:30 PM at Alice Tully Hall, with selected premium experiences confirming access not only to the screening, but also to the red carpet and official after-party.

For fans searching how to attend Hunger Games premiere events, this is not a conventional movie ticket. The main Hunger Games premiere NYC event is being described as invite-only, but a small number of documented VIP experiences show that access can extend beyond industry invitations, and that is where the evening becomes especially interesting.

The Hunger Games premiere 2026 takes place on the Monday before the film’s theatrical release on 20 November. Current premium packages reference the premiere screening, pre-event red-carpet access and entry to the official after-party, although the exact inclusions depend on the specific experience.

Is the Sunrise on the Reaping Premiere Invite-Only?

For most guests, yes. The Sunrise on the Reaping premiere is not operating like a public cinema screening with standard seats available through a box office. Average Socialite currently describes the New York event as strictly invite-only, reflecting the kind of access normally associated with major studio premieres.

However, selected VIP routes have appeared through limited experiences donated or supported by Lionsgate. SkyMiles Experiences, for example, has offered packages combining the Hunger Games Sunrise on the Reaping Premiere with a hotel stay, red-carpet access before talent call, the screening and official after-party access. Charitybuzz has also listed premiere experiences for small numbers of guests.

What Does Hunger Games Red Carpet Access Include?

One of the most distinctive parts of selected packages is the Hunger Games red carpet experience. SkyMiles specifies that guests have the opportunity to walk the carpet before talent call, allowing them to experience the premiere environment before the principal arrivals take over the evening. The screening then follows inside Alice Tully Hall.

That does not automatically mean unrestricted celebrity interaction. SkyMiles states that photographs, autographs and interaction with participating talent are prohibited, while attendance by any specific celebrity is not guaranteed. The value is being inside the premiere environment itself rather than purchasing a guaranteed encounter with a particular cast member.

What About the Sunrise on the Reaping After Party?

Selected experiences also include access to the Sunrise on the Reaping after party, giving guests a chance to continue the evening after the first New York screening. Charitybuzz describes its VIP package as including both the premiere and exclusive after-party access, making the party one of the clearest upgrades beyond screening admission alone.

Details such as the after-party venue, entertainment programme and individual attendees have not been publicly confirmed in the sources currently available. That uncertainty is part of why premium premiere access tends to remain tightly controlled: the experience is built around being inside the official event rather than a publicly advertised nightlife programme.

Can You Meet the Cast at the Premiere?

A meet-and-greet should not be assumed as part of the Hunger Games Sunrise on the Reaping Premiere. One current Charitybuzz premiere-and-after-party package explicitly states that it does not include a meet and greet, and SkyMiles similarly prohibits interaction with participating talent.

There is, however, an important exception: a separate Charitybuzz experience currently lists four premiere tickets plus a group meet-and-greet with a photo opportunity and signing, alongside a Lionsgate executive lunch on another date. That shows such access can exist, but only when it is explicitly included in a specific package rather than treated as a normal premiere benefit.
