The PGA Championship heads to Frisco, Texas, from 17 – 23 May 2027, bringing one of the four men’s major golf championships to Fields Ranch East for the first time.
The PGA Championship 2027 week begins with three practice days before four competitive rounds from Thursday through Sunday. The event will also mark the return of major championship golf to North Texas after more than 60 years.

PGA Championship Venue: Fields Ranch East
The 2027 PGA Championship venue is Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco, located in Frisco, Texas. Designed by Gil Hanse, the East Course forms part of the PGA of America’s major golf destination, which also includes a second championship course, practice facilities and the Omni PGA Frisco Resort.
This will be the first time the men’s major has been contested at PGA Frisco, giving spectators a chance to experience Championship golf at one of the newest major venues in the United States.
PGA Championship Players and the 2027 Field
The complete list of PGA Championship players for 2027 has not yet been announced. The tournament traditionally brings together leading professionals from around the world alongside qualifying PGA of America Golf Professionals, creating an all-professional major field.
Aaron Rai will arrive as the reigning champion after winning the 2026 edition at Aronimink Golf Club and claiming his first major title. The full 2027 field and player groupings will be confirmed closer to the event. At the end of Sunday’s final round, the champion will lift the Wanamaker Trophy, one of the most recognisable trophies in professional golf.
