The Ryder Cup 2027 brings one of golf’s greatest rivalries to Adare Manor in County Limerick, Ireland, for a landmark centenary edition. Team Europe and Team USA will meet from 13 – 19 September 2027, with three days of practice and special events leading into the competitive match days from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 September.
Held every two years, the Ryder Cup is unlike a traditional golf tournament. There is no individual prize and no stroke-play leaderboard. Instead, twelve players from Europe face twelve from the United States across foursomes, fourballs and singles, with every match contributing points towards the overall team result. The 2027 edition also marks 100 years since the first official Ryder Cup and will be only the second staging of the event in Ireland.

Europe vs USA at the Ryder Cup 2027
The final twelve-player teams will not be known until shortly before the competition, making qualification one of the major storylines throughout the 2027 golf season.
Luke Donald will captain Team Europe for a third consecutive Ryder Cup. Six European players will qualify automatically through the Ryder Cup Points List, with Donald selecting the remaining six captain’s picks during the week beginning 30 August 2027.
Team USA will be led by Jim Furyk. The top six eligible American players in the U.S. Ryder Cup Points standings following the BMW Championship will qualify automatically, while Furyk will complete the team with six captain’s selections after the TOUR Championship.

The Golf Course at Adare Manor will host the event for the first time, bringing the Ryder Cup to County Limerick and back to Ireland for the first time since The K Club staged the competition in 2006.
